What areas of Maine does Western Mechanical serve?
We're based in Detroit, Maine and serve central Maine —
including Newport, Pittsfield, Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft,
Bangor, Waterville, Skowhegan and surrounding towns. If you're
not sure whether you're in the service area, give us a call.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours HVAC service?
Yes. Emergency HVAC service is available for no-heat and
unsafe-system calls. Call (307) 690-9972 — we get back as
quickly as possible, after-hours included during the heating
season.
How often should I service my oil furnace or boiler?
Once a year is the standard — ideally before the heating
season starts. An annual tune-up cleans the burner, replaces
the nozzle and filter, checks combustion efficiency and catches
small issues before they turn into a January no-heat call.
Do you install propane tanks and run gas lines?
Yes. We handle propane tank sets, gas line runs, appliance
hookups (ranges, dryers, fireplaces, generators, heating
equipment) and leak diagnostics. All work is done to Maine
code with proper testing.
Do you install heat pumps and mini-splits?
Yes. Cold-climate heat pumps and ductless mini-splits are a
great fit for Maine homes — efficient heating in winter and
cooling in summer. We size and install systems matched to your
space, insulation and fuel mix.
Is Western Mechanical veteran-owned?
Yes — Western Mechanical is veteran-owned and operated by
Master HVAC Technician Alex Western.
